HIGH GLOSS

One of the most prevalent trends at Maison Objet in Paris was the re-emergence of high gloss finishes on hard furniture.

hile this look tends to polarise, in the right setting it can create visual impact without compromising hard furniture's functionality.
The Burr Elm table is a great example. The rich colour and pattern of the Burr Elm is accentuated and enriched by the application of multiple layers of high gloss lacquer.

A high gloss finish can be used to great effect to hero detailed form like this Parquet dining table.  Contrasting colours can be applied to the table top and base.

High gloss finishes can have a high translucense like the bright lacquer finish on this bespoke sideboard.  Our customer provided us with a Resene colour reference as the basis for this finish to create a highly distinctive feature piece.
