CRUIKSHANK SIGNATURE COLLECTION

One of my compulsory stops when visiting Arrowtown is Cruikshank. Having met Ed Cruikshank five years ago, I have become an admirer of his design ethos and fastidious craftsmanship. We share a similar passion for enduring designs, natural materials and NZ made.

Over the past 12 years, Central Otago has become a big part of my life.  My wife Mary grew up in Macraes Flat and has parents living in Wanaka.  Within our geography, you couldn't find an environment with a greater contrast to rural Northland where I grew up.  The mix of alpine lakes, folded tussock clad-foot hills and craggy peaks has become embedded in my soul.  Having children with grandparents in Wanaka draws me to Central Otago each winter and summer.

When Ed approached me recently to represent his Signature Furniture Collection, it was an easy decision to make.  The first designs have arrived this week.
The High Back Club Rocker will conquer even the greatest insomniac's sleep deprivation.  It has to be sat in to be believed!  The carefully considered ergonomics provide excellent lumbar and head support to complement its unique look.  The standard rocker base is made in Black Walnut but this chair can also be made with a swivel base or fixed timber feet.
The Architect Club Chair has a more linear form but is equally comfortable.  The linear shape is softened by a delicately curved back.  The standard base for this chair is a swivel base but it can also be made with a rocker or fixed timber feet as with the High Back Club Rocker.  The Architect Club Chair can also be made as a 1 ½ seater and as a sofa.
Both of these chairs are available in your choice of premium grain Natural leather from Tasman.
